End of Season Awards!

Biggest Jump in Difficulty:
The biggest climbers on the B.G.'s difficulty chart over the past season. The total is based on their highest 2 pass total from one event:

Trampoline – Daniel Groenewegen
Provincial – Ryann Johnston
National – Sean Robertson

Sportsmanship:
This title is awarded to athletes who are always aware of their teammates progress and development and make a conscious effort to cheer them on in their pursuit of self improvement.

Trampoline – Victoria Ivankovic
Provincial – Rachel Sicard

Most Improved:
This title is awarded to athletes who have shown the greatest amount of improvement in the gym. It is inclusive to skills, physical abilities and psychological abilities such as maturity and focus.

Trampoline – Nick Bonnay
Provincial – Claudia D’Alesio
National – Rebecca Zachar

Competitor of the Year:
This title is awarded to athletes who seemed to have a competitive edge and managed to avoid being affected by competition stress and pressures to consistently deliver top quality personal results.

Trampoline – Jelisa Joncas
Provincial – Naomi Suzuki
National – Alicia Russell

Athlete of the Year:
This title is awarded to the athletes who best displayed a balance of sportsmanship, personal improvement and competitive results.

Trampoline – Rachel Hills
Provincial – Madeline Milne
National – Sean Robertson/Jaclyn Sicard

The Chris Mitruk Award:
Chris Mitruk is a retired B.G. trampolinist who found tremendous success on the international Trampoline and DMT stage. He was a two time World DMT Champion, a many time World Trampoline medalists and earned countless National titles. He was a major part in putting Canadian T&T on the map! This award is giving to the athlete who created breakthrough performances for themselves over the past season.

Josh Haibach – Competing in his first season as a National athlete, Josh not only earned himself a medal at Provincial Championships, he also earned himself a spot at his first international competition, the Pan American Championships. He competed for Gymnastics Ontario in the men’s 13/14 DMT competition and achieved a new personal best for difficulty easily making it his best meet of the year!

The Chris Donaldson Award:
Chris is a retired Burlington B.G. tumbler who was a member of Canada's National Team for many years. He was always the most disciplined, focused and hard working athlete in the gym, using every day as an opportunity to inch his way closer to achieving his goals. A role model athlete! This title is awarded to the athlete who best embodies Chris' athletic persona:

Katelyn Verschoor – This season Katelyn made achieving her goals her mission. Every workout was filled with drive, determination and a willingness to improve. Good was not good enough for Katelyn, she wanted perfect and was willing to keep going till she was satisfied with it. This attitude helped her en route to earning her first National title as well as a spot on 2010 World Age Group Team!

The Emily Smith Award:
Emily is a Burlington B.G. who became the most decorated tumbler in Canadian History. She opened the international doors for other Canadians by earning our first 5 World Cup Medals and raising the difficulty/competitive standards in the country for over half a decade. This title is awarded to an athlete who best embodies Emily's trendsetting nature by pushing to achieve new milestones in their career and sport:

David Findlay – This season David became only the 2nd Canadian to successfully compete a triple twisting double layout! To top off his trend setting skill set, he also competed with a new found confidence while earning himself his first Provincial, National and Pan American title!

T&T Alumni:
