Athletes of the month - March

Tumbling: Alison Zareski

Ali is in her 3rd competitive season at the Burlington B.G.'s. She competes in the Youth National category and is a member of the Canadian Junior National Team. Last fall a back injury set her back 3 months. Since being given clearance to resume training she is doing her best to make up for lost time. The month of march saw Alison qualify to nationals, regain her all her previous skills and even learn a few new ones. She was last years bronze medalist at the National Championships and seems to be on track for another great performance this year!

Trampoline: Michelle Blanchard

Michelle is a novice national athlete in the trampoline program. Last season was very bumpy for Michelle. She had to deal with skill loss, skill confusion and because of this lost a lot of confidence. At the most recent qualifier, Michelle compete back at her full difficulty! Something she had not done since January 2008. She also had the 2nd highest difficulty in her competitive category. It's great to see her back on track!

DMT: Jessica Asztalos

Jessica is competing in the National Open category on dmt. At the most recent qualifier, she completed 2 new passes and achieved a new personal best difficulty score. In the past her body has been plagued with injury but this season she seems to be at the top of her game physically and mentally. Great job!
