2012 Elite Canada

Denis and Emily soared to victories at last weeks Elite Canada competition in Airdrie, Alberta.
Emily led easily after the preliminary round. In the final, she improved her score by over a point to win the women's title by a convicing 5 pt margin. Well done Em!
Katelyn was 3rd after day 1 due to a skill repetition on 1st pass. On day 2 she unfortunately made the same mistake but then cameback with a very strong 2nd pass which put her 4th less then 1 point out of second place.
Drake who was competing in his first National competition since 2003 had an ok day at the office. He competed 2 brand new passes and unfortunately had a fall on his twisting pass landing which cost his a spot in the men's final. He did however compete a great dbl layout in the middle of his pass for the first time and a full out straight dismount!
Denis lead day 1 with a season high score. In finals, he stayed consistent earning an almost identical score for 1st place and his first national victory since coming back to competitive sport in January 2011.
B.G.'s was also the only club to walk away from the event with 2 titles!
You can find video's of the great performances on the B.G.'s youtube page.
