Track Suit Payment
Nella will be emailing everyone an invoice for this seasons competitive track suit in the upcoming days. The gym would love payment as soon as possible in order to secure the order and ensure we receive everything before the T&T Tour Selection in December. You can pay via Cheque, credit cards or debit at the gym.

The Burlington B.G.’s is committed to providing quality programs for all its athletes and, as you know, in order to accomplish this year after year we have to update the facility inside and out. We are asking each of you, your friends and your families to help us in these efforts by purchasing tickets and attending this wonderful event. This year we are raising funds to help with the beautification of the lobby and upstairs viewing gallery. Together, let’s make B.G.’s the place to be! Tickets are $10.00 each and 100% of the proceeds go to the Burlington B.G.’s.
Tickets will go on sale Tuesday October 14th and may be purchased anytime at the main office or recreational office or in the evenings in the main lobby. Please feel free to contact me at jwestell@bellnet.ca with any questions.
Thank you for your support!

Pan American Championships
Congratulations to Teja Durante who has been invited by Gymnastics Canada to compete at the 2008 Pan American Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The competition is scheduled to take place from November 30-December 9th.
Mock Meet Schedule
Although the competition season is still 6 weeks away for most and 12 for others, we have already started the preparation for what we anticipate will be a very successful season. Every Sunday will be Mock Meet day for a level. Since their are 3 level splits in both the Provincial and National group, the athletes will be mock meeting every 3rd week, until closer to the meet where we will have everyone participate in a more official mock meet. This is great way to get the kids prepared and understanding what their competitive expectations are as well as a good time for you to see your child's and the program's progress. We do not frown upon cheering from the gallery during these mock meets, in fact your support is truly appreciated.
Please see below for the mock meet schedule:
Sunday, October 19 - Provincial C; Prov.A/Novice and Elite(missed thanksgiving)
Sunday, October 26 - Provincial B/A; Youth/Open
Sunday, November 2 - Provincial D; Elite
then back to the start...
The mock meet only takes the first 45-60 minutes of class time.

September 2008 - Athletes of the month
Tumbling: Rachel Sicard
The last 6 months of the previous competitive season did not go well for Rachel. She spent most of January to August battling a "balking" issue that disabled her chances in competing in nearly every competition held last year. Since August however she seems to have turned a new leaf! This month she learned new passes for Level B (a new level for her) as well as many new skills including a 1.5 twist on rod floor and double back on trampoline. She is finally tumbling like we all know she can and for that we applaud her!
Trampoline: Jelisa Joncas
The month of September has been great for Jelisa. She has overcome a lot of fears and has started putting a great deal of work into learning back fulls and Rudy's. Although these two skills have been her nemesis in the past, she now seems to be determined to master them! Great Job Jelisa!
DMT: Michael Zeuner
Michael began training DMT the first week in September and is progressing steadily with every practice! He has gone from no experience to a Provincial A level athlete within four weeks due to his great work ethic, attitude in the gym and willingness to learn. At this rate it would be no surprise if he reached a National level come January. Way to go Michael!
