May Information

Schedule Changes:
Sunday, May 18 - all classes cancelled; Victoria Day is on Monday but we are cancelling the Sunday instead to give families/staff a chance to go away

Competitions:
Good Luck to Michelle Hefford, Michael Zeuner and Josh Haibach who will be representing Team Ontario at the 2008 Eastern Canadian Championships in Longueil, Quebec from May 8-13.

Good Luck to Emily Smith will be representing Gymnastics Canada at a World Cup stop in the south of France. The competition will take place from May 20-25.

New Video

I've been able to put up video footage from last weekend's Elite Canada competition in Kamloops, British Columbia! There is one of all the BG Seniors and one of just the BG Youths. The videos start with the lowest scores we counted as a group and go on to the highest! They are located in the BG Video section on the right hand side of the blog!

Provincials - Directions

Here are directions to get to the Seneca College Campus. The competition is being held in building G which is the sport center. Please click on the link below for a map of the campus for a better idea of the location. Parking is located outside in P4-P5 for between $3-$5 a day.

HWY 401 east Express
exit HWY 404 North
exit on Finch Ave
Left on Finch Avenue
entrance to the campus is on your right at the lights

Elite Canada - Final Results

The competition has now concluded for the youth and senior tumblers competing in the national team selection event here in Kamloops. Here is how we finished!

Elite Women:
1st- Emily Smith
3rd- Jordan Sugrim
6th- Teja Durante

Elite Men:
3rd- Nick Kurtz

Youth Women:
1st- Meghan Hefford
2nd- Katelyn Vershoor
4th- Catherine McNutt
8th- Alison Zareski

Youth Men:
3rd- David Findlay

Other Highlights:
Meghan and Catherine competed passes valued above the minimum standard for senior Elite!
Teja Durante earned herself a spot on the Senior National Team!
Katelyn and Catherine earned spots on the Youth National Team!

Elite Canada - Day 1

The preliminay competition was held today for Youth and Elite tumblers in Kamloops! We did phenomenal! Everyone looked very impressive and ought to be proud! Hopefully tomorrow will be just as spectacular!

Minor Schedule Changes

Due to the fact that most of the coaching staff will be away at Elite Canada some minor adjustments have been made to the schedule in order to keep quality coaching efforts in all groups.

Friday, April 18 - all provincial A and National 6:30-8:30
Sunday, April 20 - all provincial A and National 3:30-5:30
