Our competition season is now officially underway! The trampoline and double-mini athletes brought their best efforts to the seasons first test last weekend and the results were incredibly impressive! 11 medals in total with 3 of them being GOLD!
Trampoline:
Chloe Bottos, Sydnee Laurent, Natalie Irwin, Maddie Hawkins, Ethan Hawkins, Matthew Hamilton, Colin Kew, Marcos Mahlman, Aja Zambiasi, Mitch Diotte and Chesley Davis qualified for Provincial Championships!
Marcos earned our only trampoline medal placing 2nd, Maddie placed 4th and Matthew placed 6th in their respective categories.
Double-Mini:
Natalie Irwin, Sydnee Laurent, Alexandra Wowk, Mitch Diotte, Joseph Bielski and Matthew Hamilton qualified to Provincial Championships. Matthew and Mitch also brought home silver medals in their respective categories.
Matthew Marson nailed his routines and earned the mobility standard required to move into the National category as well as a silver medal. He has guaranteed himself a spot on the Ontario Team that will head to nationals in May.
Anisa Pacheco, Denis Vachon and Michael Zeuner earned victories in their respective categories although one must admit Michael was definitely the star of the show. He earned a personal best score, difficulty record on his way to the GOLD.
Jon Schwaiger, in his first competition as a BG has a great day to take silver as did Colin Bassett and Sarah Wheatley.
Sean Robertson collected our only Bronze medal of the competition.
