November:
Tumbling: Anysa Pappas
Anysa tore her ACL snowboarding in March and had to spend 6 months out of the gym doing rehab before being cleared for training. She clearly worked very hard during her time away because she has come back looking better then ever. She hasn't skipped a beat! We hope the season is as productive for her as the last month have been.
Trampoline: Chloe Winkworth
Chloe has been on an uphill climb over the last few months. After dealing with some skill lost and confusion, she seems to be coming to her own again and training with energy and confidence! Chloe is 1 of 4 Novice athlete's in the trampoline program. We hope she keeps up the good work and has a successful season!
Double Mini: Matt Marson
Matthew learned a lot of new passes over the past month on dmt. He is now doing to passes that each contain 2 salto's. He will be competing in the Provincial B category with maximum difficulty. At this rate, we can only imagine what the future will hold for him!
December:
Tumbling: Colin Bassett
Colin is one of our many up and coming National Tumblers. He has only been with us for 6 months now but has already maxed out the National Novice 15+ level and is looking now to start bridging the gap to youth and eventually the National Team! His skill repertoire now includes a dbl tuck, dbl pike and full in. At the Tour Selection meet, Colin placed 2nd and was the highest placing male in the category. He also set a new personal difficulty record of 9.0.
Trampoline: Max White
Max had a rough start to the 2008 season. He dealt with a few injuries and some skill loss. But Max proved during the month of December that he is back and ready to accomplish his goals! He placed 2nd in Novice 15+ at the Tour Selection meet and was the top ranked meet in the category. His amplitude, clean lines and strong level of difficulty helped make him a stand out. Great job Max!
Double Mini: Sean Robertson
Sean is in his 3rd year of dmt at our club. This season he is competing in the Novice 15+ category and is looking to achieve great things. At the most recent Tour Selection, Sean led Colin to a 2-3 place finish in the 15+ category. He also set himself a new record difficulty total of 8.3! He is on his way to a great year!
